Dick Hannula’s contributions to the sport of swimming have been recognized worldwide. In addition to being inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF), American Swimming Coaches Association Hall of Fame, and receiving the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Hall of Fame (NISCA) award, Dick has served as President of the American Swimming Coaches Association, Vice President of the World Swimming Coaches Association, served as chairman of U.S. Swimming’s Technical Instruction Committee. He has authored such publications as Coaching Swimming Successfully and the co-editor of The Swim Coaching Bible
In his coaching career, Howard Firby was elected President of the Canadian Swimming Coaches Association, served as National Technical Director, and was an inductee into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Aquatic Hall of Fame.
With a diverse background as a pilot with the RCAF, a student of kinetics and anatomy, and a professional illustrator, Firby became the world’s top authority on swimming technique and stroke drills. He also found success as an author and world renowned lecturer.
Dr. Ernie Maglischo has revolutionized how swim coaches train their athletes. The Swimming Faster series has been the standard reading for coaches for over 40 years. His most recent series, A Primer for Swimming Coaches, builds upon his previous work and is an invaluable resource for coaches and athletes looking to apply a more scientific approach to their coaching. 
On November 3, 2017 the International Swimming Hall of Fame and Swimming World Magazine merged into one entity. Brent Rutemiller took on the dual role of Chief Executive Officer of the combined organization. Below is an interview that Brent had with Dr. Maglischo for Swimming World TV in October 2015 prior to the merger.
