Swimming is a winter sport for both boys and girls in Pennsylvania, but, there are plenty of middle school swim teams that operate in the fall. Plus, water polo for boys and girls happens in the fall too.
Fall sports can begin their practices, but the start of games has been delayed.
Great news resides in the fact that the board is putting different constrictions onto different sports and not treating all the sports in an identical manner. Golf and X-Country are not the same as girls volleyball nor football.
When the winter sports decisions are considered, hopefully swimming and diving is treated as a sport that can deploy social distancing, unlike wrestling and basektball.
