Males increase skeletal muscle mass substantially more than females with puberty (McCarthy, Samani‐Radi, Jebb, & Prentice, 2014).
 
Strength Increase by Age and Sex
 
Males increase grip strength substantially more than females with puberty (Kolimechkov, Petrov, Alexandrova, 2019).
