Presented by Tidewater Adaptive Aquatics at the 10th Annual ISCA Hall of Fame Summit
ABOUT THE EVENT
Date: Tuesday, August 26 2019 (9:00am-4:00pm)
Cost: $200 per coach (add-on to the ISCA Summit)
ABOUT THE COURSE
The Tidewater Adaptive Coach Certification course is designed to help competitive coaches successfully teach and facilitate inclusion in their programs. This is a course for every aquatics professional, and revolves around a simple concept—every child deserves the opportunity to participate in aquatics.
When fostering an inclusive culture in your program, your emphasis should always be placed on creating a welcoming environment and providing quality experience for all athletes. This course, which also includes an in-water component, helps aquatic professionals gain a better understanding of community considerations, family considerations, and athlete-specific needs. This course will give you the tools you need to understand how to provide accommodations and specific support in an aquatics setting.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Amanda Pope is the founder of Tidewater Adaptive Aquatics Center, the General Manager of TideWater Aquatics Club, and has dedicated her life to water safety for all children.
