ABOUT THE COURSE
‌
The Tidewater Adaptive Coach Certification course is designed to help competitive coaches successfully teach and facilitate inclusion in their programs. This is a course for every aquatics professional, and revolves around a simple concept—every child deserves the opportunity to participate in aquatics.
When fostering an inclusive culture in your program, your emphasis should always be placed on creating a welcoming environment and providing quality experience for all athletes. This course, which also includes an in-water component, helps aquatic professionals gain a better understanding of community considerations, family considerations, and athlete-specific needs. This course will give you the tools you need to understand how to provide accommodations and specific support in an aquatics setting.
