Highlights and insights to the Swim Gala in Uganda at Flobbeto

An ISCA subscriber and friend sent along the video of a recent swim event!

So many things to love about this video.

  • Ownership seems to be shared among a number of people. Many got to speak in the video. Shared responsibilities work well.
  • There seems to be mention of four different levels. That's great to have structure.
  • The kickboard races are great for inclusion for those who are not yet with all the skills for swimming races.
  • Loved the gate at the corner of the pool to make the rectangle for the swimming course too.
  • Big audience. Lots of cheering.
  • Where can we get some of those horns used by the spectators?
  • Life saving skills were on display with a lesson about throwing rescues. Super!
