Coach Nikola to Leave Tiger Water Polo

News from Jim Staresinic on April 9, 2017

Dear Club Members,

Today, Coach Nikola has accepted the Head Coaching position at Washington and Jefferson College. As such, effective June 1st, 2017, he will no longer be the Head Coach of our club program or the high school team. Nikola has been an indelible part of our water polo family for nearly six years and, at times, it felt as if he would be with us forever. But, his career as a coach is blossoming not just with this move, but also within the United States Men’s National Team system: both great career developments that we cannot be anything but proud of him and happy for him and his family. In the coming days, weeks and months, there will be much more to say about his impact on the players and families who have had the opportunity to get to know him and play for him. But, for now, I am sure that all of us just want to wish him well and take advantage of the days ahead before he starts his new venture. Obviously, there lies a tough mission ahead for our club to find a new coach, and this will be pursued in proper fashion. But, today is a day just to congratulate Nikola, wish him well and reflect on six very good years for our program.

Congratulations Nikola!
